Clean North is run by volunteers. People just like you are the engine that keeps our green activities humming along.

Our greatest need is for people to run/organize projects. But we encourage anyone to apply, including students needing volunteer hours or hoping to do a co-op placement.

So why should you consider volunteering?

  • Variety of real-world opportunities: Our projects require a range of skill sets — from planning to communications to outdoorsy skills (scroll down for a detailed list).
  • Outside: Give back while getting fresh air and exercise!
  • Noble work: What’s more noble than helping to protect the environment?
  • Skills development: Learn new things to further your career.
  • Flexible hours: When and how much you volunteer is up to you.
  • Social: Meet new people who share your values.
  • Mental health: Giving back helps reduce stress and increase life satisfaction.
