Environment Canada just sent this in:

The Developing Sustainability Committee of the Lake Superior Binational Work Group is proceeding with the Community Awareness Review and Development (CARD) Project. The Project will hire a co-ordinator for the American work and a separate co-ordinator for the Canadian work. The Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Canadian project co-ordinator is now open and the closing date is 28 February 2003. More below, including how to apply.

The RFP for the Canadian project co-ordinator has been posted on the Canadian government's open bidding system - MERX, in the "Services - Special Studies and Analysis (Not R&D)" section. It is not necessary to register for MERX in order to bid on the proposal.

Interested parties should contact Aaron Allan, Environment Canada's Contracting Authority, for a copy of the bid package which includes a more detailed description of the project co-ordinator's activities. Aaron can e-mail the documents to people. He can be reached by telephone at (416)739-4504.
