We are in need of a replacement for a longtime volunteer on the Christmas Tree Chipping project. Want to be involved? Job description, below.
Tree Chipping Equipment Coordinator
Working with the volunteer Tree Chipping Coordinating committee, the Equipment Coordinator is responsible for:
- brainstorming equipment needs with committee during planning for annual event.
- telephoning all previous-year's equipment donors to find out if they will participate again.
- finding new equipment donors for any that need to be replaced, or new equipment not used before.
- keeping records of organization name, phone number, contact individual, any needs or terms of participation.
- helping committee to set up site, including meeting equipment donors on site as needed.
- ensuring all donors receive thank you letter and plaque.
- reviewing event with committee to make recommendations for next year.
This job requires someone who is friendly and has good telephone skills, good attention to detail, and persistence. It requires about ten hours a month during November and December, and about fifteen to twenty hours during January.
